Salone del Mobile, 2026

Since 2022, the Knoll Pavilion at Salone del Mobile has served as an annual opportunity to reinterpret the brand through architecture, furniture, color and material. Each presentation is conceived as a distinct environment rather than a conventional trade-fair display. Historic and contemporary pieces are brought together through changing spatial and material frameworks—allowing the collection to be seen differently from year to year while maintaining a recognizable continuity within the space designed by OFFICE ((Kersten Geers and David Van Severen). Color is often architectural rather than decorative; textiles, surfaces and finishes establish atmosphere and alter the perception of familiar objects. Furniture is considered relationally—rather than presented as a sequence of individual products. Because the project is temporary and recurring, it also provides a particular kind of freedom. Across the successive presentations, the pavilion has become a testing ground for ideas that extend beyond Salone itself: new material relationships, color palettes, furniture groupings and modes of display that inform the broader development of Knoll’s physical environments.
