Knoll : Dozie Kanu Collection

For Dozie Kanu’s table collection for Knoll, I developed the color and material palette for the metal frames and leather surfaces. The metallic frame fin-ish was particularly important, giving the pieces a reflective, jewel-like quality and reinforcing the idea of the tables as the jewelry of an interior—a rolehistorically occupied within Knoll by collections such as the PlanterTables.The leather palette brings warmth and depth to the collection, while drawing from both Dozie’s Nigerian and Texan roots. Together, leather and metalcreate a material language that feels personal to Dozie’s work while remaining distinctly Knoll.
